It costs just over $160 to get a week's worth of data on where people who visited Planned Parenthood came from, and where they went afterwards.
Most of this information comes from people who carry cellular telephones. Location data from the phone is collected, identified, then sold. In light of the likely weakening or elimination of Roe next month, this information will be used to increase stalking, harassment, assault, or outright murder of doctors, nurses, patients, escorts, and family members. (Call me a Luddite, but my privacy is a big reason I carry no cell telephone and have a rotary dial telephone landline.)
Thank you for sharing. They claim they've stopped (due to public outcry after this article)
Good to know! If I ever have to travel out of state with someone to ensure they have rights to their own bodies, leave the cell phone at the hotel. Sheesh.
AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile don't give a damn so long as there is money to be made.
