While her former boss, George. was indicted with seven counts of wire fraud, three counts of money laundering, two counts of making materially false statements to the House of Representatives and one count of theft of public funds, Nancy Marks decided that she would rather not face as many charges. Her cooperation will shore up an already strong case. She:
pleaded guilty Thursday to conspiracy to defraud, admitting she fraudulently reported hundreds of thousands in fake loans that Santos had claimed he made to his campaign.

Santos was asked for comment but he is presently especially busy preparing for next year's summer olympics. Volleyball of course... so next we are asking for a statement from either George or Anthony DeVolder.

UPDATE
Isn't it lovely when a colleague takes a plea so that the worst POS gets jail time?
The new superseding 23-count indictment
According to the charges:
Santos said he lent his campaign $500k when he only had $8,000.
Using identity theft from his contributors credit cards, Santos stole more than $44,000 from his campaign backers... and wirred iit to his own personal account.
One of his contributors donated $5,800 to the campaign; Santos used the CC info to give himself $15,800 more.
As the unauthorized charges exceeded contribution limits, Santos listed them as his relative's contributions.
