Half-Staff Notice: Remembrance of One Million Dead of Covid-19

President Joseph Biden has issued a half-staff notice in remembrance of one million Americans who've died of the Covid-19 pandemic, until sunset May 16, 2022.

For flags which cannot be placed at half-staff, the American Legion recommends the following:

Flags displayed flat, such as wall: A black bow in the centre of the flag, or three black bows across the top.

Flags on fixed staffs or gaffs: Affix a black ribbon the width of one stripe and the length of the flag, to the peak of the gaff or staff.
