It's part of getting older I think. My father used to wake at 4 am and get up and put the coffee on. Not so bad if you can nap later.
I have an adult child who's been MIA for nearly a year. Mental illness/AODA issues. Not the first time, but by far the longest. Sometimes I wake up thinking of him, then guilt and fear rush in, and there's no sleep to be had after that.
Being on here has helped me remember there are still good people in the world, many of whom will go the extra mile for others.
Not much of a chef here but fairly omnivorous. I take melatonin nightly for the sleep thing. Usually, it takes about 20 minutes to get drowsy.
Last night I went to the theatre for the first time in over 2 years and watched the Top Gun sequel. I really enjoyed the film in spite of the star's connection with Scientology. Drank a diet coke which kept me up until after 3 am and also I suspect gave me some joint flare-up. Sugar was low so did a teaspoon of honey and peanut butter. Put on some old radio programs and zzz.
@Dip Dibbler Very nice! I can't remember the last time I went to a theater but I think it was for "Snakes on a Plane" 🤣🤣🤣 I'm much more of a book person though I really enjoy nature documentaries.
