After his indictment on 34 felony counts Tuesday, Donald Trump sought out a faithful audience, joining a conference call with Christian supporters who see him as not simply battling a liberal prosecutor, but ensnared in a “demonic situation.”
Trump’s longtime religious adviser Paula White Cain, working with an evangelical group called Intercessors for America, organized an “Emergency Prayer Call” for Trump. (In Christianity, intercessors are people who pray to God on behalf of others.)
At least two dozen religious organizations received the highest tier of funds, between $5 million and $10 million. Heritage Christian Services, a Christian organization serving those with disabilities, received about $10 million. (Hopefully they really did help those with disabilities. I don't trust religious organizations and would never give to them. More than 8,800 religious groups asked for their PPP loans to be forgiven in 2021 and many more followed, but a few did give it back.
