Let me introduce you to Sir Galahad! (Gali for short)
When Gali stands on all fours, he measures 24 inches high and is 68 inches long from the tip of the nose to the tip of his tail. When he stands on his hind legs he is 3 feet tall!! One of his best and most adorable features is his very large thumbs on his hands! (yeah I know, they are paws, but to me, they are hands and feet, fingers and toes!) Being polydactyl is a very common characteristic of Maine Coons. Gali is able to move his thumbs just like a human and he is able to grip things such as door handles. His meow sounds more like "buah", not like a regular meow you hear on cats! He loves his stomach and thighs rubbed and itched like a dog. He loves his butt being rubbed (if a cat gives you his butt it's a compliment), and always gives me "butts", which he expects me to rub!
Gali suffers from high blood pressure and must be given medication nightly, he also has a heart murmur. He has severe separation anxiety and must be medicated if I leave him by himself.
He found me in January 2020, he just appeared at the end of my driveway. He was a "tom" cat, however, he wasn't feral, so someone had had him up until that point. When he wandered up to my house he was starving, he was emaciated and his fur was matted so badly, that he was pulling out the knots himself, which left him with large bald spots. When I fed him the first time, I was shocked because I had never seen or heard a cat eat like that. He ate like a dog taking large bites of food and the sounds he made also made him sound like a dog, and he continued to eat like that for 6 months until he finally figured out that he would always have food and water and it was going to be a constant thing.
He is my "Big Baby Boy!" Also when you pick him up instead of being rigid, he becomes "floppy", kinda like a large muppet!
***These pictures aren't the best, I have to upload the better pictures from my camera***

Passed out on the couch!
**please forgive the huge mess, trying to pack up for the renos**

Looking at me, "Mom. seriously stop bugging me"!

**Not the best picture due to the sun glare and doesn't do Gali justice**
***Please ignore the old carpet as it has recently been torn out!!***
Mama Mia that's a big cat! He doesn't look like your typical Maine Coon to me, but I've always doubted that's an actual breed anyhow.
Our last cat was the product of two mixed breeds a friend of ours had in Big Bear Lake, Calif. When we moved to Maine every vet we saw insisted she was a pure Maine Coon.
We took it as a compliment and she really was a great cat, but she was just a tabby.
