@piscean blowhard Nice! I haven't been out to dinner since outdoor dining in January on a trip to Bosque del Apache with my cousin. It's too fucking hot for outdoor dining here in the summer.
I like your thread, and it should have been a "big hitter" on this site. I'm having leftovers tonight, but they are outstanding. Lamb shank, mashed potatoes, and brussels sprouts. And, me being me, I'm enjoying my meal with a smoky red zinfandel.
Lovely! I had mixed grains (brown rice, quinoa, lentil) with tomato, red onion, serrano peppers, cilantro, parsley, olive oil, lemon juice, red wine vinegar. I don't love to cook but I like eating well and healthy. Covid times have me a little fucked up eating-wise though, honestly. I've gotten very thin.
I cannot believe that you took the time to represent the cycles of the moon. That took a metric F-ton of effort (piggybacking on a previous comment in the Rated R forum). Nice food porn.
I always start out by sauteeing a couple of yellow onions - personal preference. Then add thinly sliced tomatoes to make almost a puree.
We have a huge bag of basmati rice on hand.
No my husband is not Indian. Yes we are white people. No, we are not vegetarians.
I feed this tommy family a lot because when you throw a lot of salt and cheese into the curry, the kids love it and they actually eat the vegetables.
It is also cheaper than steak and potatoes, and if you make a big batch you can freeze it easily.
I have never ordered this stuff on Amazon but you be I would if I didn't live in a city. Also the flavor packet comes out as good (even better in some cases) than restaurant.
So I guess tonight it is leftover curry, per usual.
Last night I had a crustless quiche with stale croissant, parmesan, goat cheese, grape tomatoes, and serrano. Tonight, parsnip and potato soup.
Bleu cheese stuffed burgers, bratwursts, grilled veggies, and up top....some mushrooms steamed with garlic and red wine. Any takers?
Went out for dinner--abalone almandine.
We has leftover BBQ ribs and grilled zucchini. Made a fresh blackberry tart for dessert

Tofu scares me off dear friend. But the moon pie sounds delicious.
