Born in New Zealand and moved to Australia in the 70s. Interested in many topics and politics because my mother was Polish and barely survived the war because she was with her young brother and older sister without any parents and all three were under 16. How they ended up together in New Zealand with their older brother and father is the stuff of legends. Sadly those who survived did not want to talk about it but to move on with life and forget. My father was sent to Japan after the bombs were dropped at age 18. to help Americans and others. I grew up with pictures of the aftermath of the bombs taken by him and books bout the camps although my mother was Catholic. I pray we never have another world war but sadly so many do not remember the lessons.
