Civil War or Secession? Neither. The fact that very nearly 50% of our population are rabid righty, Trumpist or some combination thereof and believe the bullshit and are willing to become a Christian fundamentalist kleptocracy is so disheartening I'm more about abandoning ship.
The dream is over.
We're pretty much anchored here so long as my 98 yo Mom is still alive, but are hoping (Covid willing) to head over to the maritimes this summer to begin setting up an escape pad. From there, NZ, Australia, even Portugal look better than here.
