You may as well tell a xtian that Jesus won't be returning. That Mary wasn't a virgin, that Jesus didn't feed a multitude from a bottomless basket of fish and bread, that Jesus didn't rise from death, that Jesus didn't walk on water or cure blindness, that Noah put all earthly creatures on a big boat to save them and hundreds of other stupid lies that the gullible chumps believe.
The problem is the issue of Identity Politics. I believe that so many AV folks know that their positions are nonsense, but they dig in out of loyalty to their ”tribe.”
When I first found this site I frequently looked up victim's FBook pages and if they still allowed comments occasionally posted rude or derisive comments. That surely didn't help the cause and I regret my insensitivity.
On at least 3 occasions, Shamgar Conners, that long haired Christian rock guy that died and the filtered MILF from northern Idaho I actually engaged with they or their families and found them unmoved to reconsider getting the vaccine. The family of the rocker and milf absolutely dug in deeper in their anti stance and didn't hesitate to use rude language in response.
Shamgar Conners pretty much chuckled about everything I said, even when I tried to use reason and logic, and would laugh everything off. He's a maroon.
So, no, in my experience, we've only made them more reluctant to vax.
The educational purpose of this site has probably changed from its original intent, which was to expose the real risks of being unvaccinated in the face of rampant disinformation. As time now tells, all it can do is bring awareness of the abundance of delusion and moral stupidity out there--only stoppable one covid death at a time.
If you look at the first few dozen posts, it did appear to have more of an educational framing. I think along the way Vaxman started to find the stoories infuriating and started to give us more insight into the sorts of idiots we are dealing with.
Lettuce be cereal. While we do hope this site may help sway the rare random anti-vaxxer who isn't a terrible person, this site is really all about schadenfreude.
According to Vaxman, "the purpose of this site is educational". Schadenfreude is natural when an obnoxious racist lowlife gets their comeuppance, but that's not really why Vaxman created this site.
My observation has been that the same stupidity that made them antiva in the first place, causes them to double down, and call us "evil," etc. They're blinded by an unfortunate combination of myopia, cognitive dissonance, and confirmation bias.
The problem isn't that they were wrong; no, the problem is that we're "mean," or we're "celebrating."

The more that didn't, the better.

None.
