Highlighting Jan 6 Insurrectionist Tyler Dykes - Neo-Nazi Marine

Sentenced  1)  Tyler Bradley Dykes  AKA Tyler Dykes AKA “Nocturnal Wolf", South Carolina, Marine, His now closed Linkdin says he was a cybersecurity partner. Dykes may still have ties to extremist groups such as the South Carolina-based “Southern Sons Active Club ” per affidavit. Dykes can be seen in open-source video tearing down barriers with other rioters as they approached restricted grounds. Eventually, Dykes joined a mob of rioters as it attacked and overwhelmed a line of law enforcement officers attempting to protect the Capitol’s east side.

2)  Felony offenses of civil disorder and assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers or employees; also charged with seven other misdemeanor offenses related to his actions that day, including knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; knowingly, and with intent to impede or disrupt the orderly conduct of government business or official functions, engage in disorderly or disruptive conduct in, or within such proximity to, any restricted building or grounds when, or so that, such conduct, in fact, impedes or disrupts the orderly conduct of government business or official functions; knowingly engaging in any act of physical violence against any person or property in any restricted building or grounds; or attempt or conspire to do so; the person, during and in relation to the offense, uses or carries a deadly or dangerous weapon or firearm; utter loud, threatening, or abusive language, or engage in disorderly or disruptive conduct, at any place in the grounds or in any of the Capitol buildings with the intent to impede, disrupt, or disturb the orderly conduct of a session of congress or either House of Congress, or the orderly conduct in that building of a hearing before, or any deliberations of, a committee of congress or either House of Congress, engage in any act of physical violence in the grounds or any of the Capitol buildings, parade, demonstrate, or picket in any of the Capitol buildings. https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/defendants/dykes-tyler-bradley      Pleaded guilty two felony counts of assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers and agreed that his use of a police riot shield constituted a dangerous weapon. U.S. District Court Judge Howell scheduled a sentencing hearing for July 19, 2024.  Sentenced to 57 months in prison, 36 months of supervised release, ordered to pay $22,000 fines and restitution by Judge Beryl A. Howell.

3) He was a violent Nazi MAGA at Charlottelsville as well. 4) He was active duty in Charlottesville, 7236 Tactical Air Controller Usmc  Location: Charleston, SC.   Work history:  United States Marine Corps  7236 Tactical Air Controller Usmc  Tyler Bradley Dykes of Bluffton, South Carolina briefly attended Cornell University in 2018 before dropping out to serve four years in the Marines. 5)  Dykes subscribed to several public Telegram groups that discussed the 2020 Presidential election, alleged voter fraud, the Electoral College Certification, and anticipated events related to the certification that were going to take place on January 6, 2021 in Washington, D.C. One such Telegram group appeared to be associated with then-President Trump, another Telegram group appeared to be called “Britain First Party – Britain First – Taking Our Country Back,” while a third Telegram group to which Dykes subscribed called for violence and government overthrow by force, quoting Adolf Hitler, among other things.  https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/pr/south-carolina-man-pleads-guilty-two-felony-charges-using-stolen-police-riot-shield

6)   At trial:  Judge Howell took offense that one of Dykes' attorneys  said using the Nazi salute was inconsequential.  He had also used it at the Charlottesville protest.

‘His biggest expression of regret seemed to be for his elderly parents, who adopted him as a child and who are still providing him with a monthly allowance, he said. He appears to have gotten superior schooling at a Hilton Head school...   [Good thing they coddled their little Nazi...even after all this]

7)   During the sentencing hearing, Dykes said that he still stood with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and that he supports Trump "to be the next president of our country."   Prosecutors noted that Dykes quoted Adolph Hitler before the Jan. 6 attack and said during the hearing that Dykes had participated in a training for the neo-Nazi accelerationist group, The Base.
