People don’t understand some very basic stuff that’s going on in these nurse labor disputes. Many nurses that “left” or “quit” did not, in fact, leave nursing. They simply looked at the pay the traveling nurses were receiving and said, “what the actual factual fuck?” and decided to join them. The hospitals still need the nurses and they’re willing to pay massive sums for these temp workers. So if a person can be flexible then they can take advantage. Legislatures across the nation are trying real hard to stop these pay boosts, lock in nurses pay, in protect shareholder profits. These are labor disputes that are being skimmed over in coverage. There’s a reason for that.
glad to be of help. not having a raise in 9 years is pretty demoralizing, especially in covid times. hope this doesn't have a bitter and resentful ending.
