As we know, the vast majority of extraordinary claims are false. I I use the heuristic of just rejecting them all. When they are true, an extraordinary claim is true, an astonished fact-checker announces its truthfulness. This happens at least once, usually twice, but no more than 3 times annually, or less than .1% of the time.
The thing is that if one tells people to just reject extraordinary claims, they might figure that they should reject the god-claim. I feared loosing them; so now, I facted checked for gullible friends.
¡I had enouigh of this & I am not going to take this any more!
The TrumpCession (Trump-Recession (really, Trump-Stagflation)). Threatens my jump. I talked with a friend about to a friend & mine housemate (we live in a multiplex) blurted out that it would be worse under Harris. We (I & friend) blurted out, "⸘Really‽", & then reminded my mentally challenged house-mate about the Trump-Tariffs. The house-mate then said that Harris would blow the entire budget on things like sex-change operations in Africa. We (I & Friend) immediately fact-checked the claim, &, like over 99% of right-wing claims, was a lie. We suggested that the house-mate do research before accepting claims. The house-mate lied & said that he does research his claims:
Notice the tense is present. I know for a fact that he does not research claims.
¡I had enough with Wack-A-Mole!
I decided to tell just tell people to reject extraordinary claims. The less than .1% of the time an extraordinary claim is true, they will know it because surprised fact-checkers will confirm it. If people realize that the existence of gods is an extraordinary claim & they get upset, that is a personal problem. Come to think about it, asking people to research extraordinary claims could lead to people rejecting gos anyway:
If one asks people to research extraordinary claims before accepting them might lead to people rejecting the god-claim & discovering that it lacks evidence; so therefore, they should reject it. Oh well.
In conclusion; henceforth, I shall just tell everyone to reject all extraordinary claims. That is almost always the correct thing to do. In the rare cases where an extraordinary claim is true, the flabbergasted fact-checkers will proclaim that the extraordinary claim, despite all of the odds, is true.
