    Man vs Kangaroo

    in General Discussion

ROO RUMBLE: A man has found himself squaring off with a kangaroo in New South Wales' Northern Rivers region.

The man was able to pin down the large marsupial, but not without copping a few blows.

Guy is a Fuckin idiot. I've had more than a few huge male reds try it on.

All you need to do is stand your ground and stretch your arms out if necessary to show them you are bigger.

They soon go back to eating grass. My bet is that dog set the roo off. Why is the dumb Fuck walking with his dog off the leash? Shame the roo didn't kill it.

What if you’re not bigger? Or do they tend to only get hostile with what they think is a competitor? Gotta learn my critter rules in case I have to make a run for the ocean.

@DeathofRats-BadgeHoorMaroon They are funny creatures DoR.

They get around in mobs with one dominant male and a Harem of ladies.

That's why you see the fights. Kangaroos have terrible eyesight as they're nocturnal. Usually if they get upset it's either they feel cornered (this is where they are really dangerous) or the dominant male feels like you're gonna steal his girls.

Size matters in fights and by stretching out your arms they perceive you as being huge. Remember their eyesight problem.

They aren't dumb, if they think you're bigger they will back down.

They exert their dominance through their size, they will stand high, balanced on their hind legs and tail.

They can be extremely violent when the hormones are raging. I've seen a male kill a little one because it got between him and his girlfriend.

In this instance though, that dog set it off (I heard there were two) the guy is a dumb fuck and very lucky to be alive.

A dominant male is very different to a normal male, think of it like a silverback gorilla.

At the start of the video, it looks like he was trying to run away from the roo.

Also, don't mess with roo's, they will gut you if they kick you with their hind legs.

I really need more info. It doesn’t seem like that was filmed by a security cam because it moves. So someone stood and filmed instead of helping? I always marvel at this shit.

Another scenario is it may be security video on a monitor, and someone used a cell phone to record what was on the screen?

Maybe he thought it was a giant mouse. Sylvester the Cat makes that mistake often.

At the start of the video, you can see the man trying to run away, but stumbling, and falling to the ground.

Also it appears there is a small dog barking at the kangaroo, so my assumption it that the guy may have been out walking with his dog, and got attacked by the kangaroo.
