Oh Canada... Ashes and the Phoenix

I had lots to add today but I got stung badly by some nasty wasps andhad a worse than usual reaction. I am glad that today I can at least move my fingers. (I swell a lot!) So, today is about how I feel and not to inform or try make you laugh.

My dear Canada is being ravaged by forest fires. We have them all of the time, but because of climate change the rains are deluges where there are lakes and the heat is making temperatures hotter and the forests drier for longer. Wild fires are out of control. Cities and towns are are not just enduring the smoke and heat but some are dangerously close to being evacuated and one, Jasper, thankfully was...because it has now been devastated. Jasper and Banff were one of the first places our family visited when we could afford more than camping. The entire area is a spectacular and serene treasure that is difficult to match elsewhere in the world.

See had always said she would fight to come back to sing, and today, she was able to be part of the opening ceremonies for the Paris Olympics. It was magnifique! My heart soared even though I am not fluent in french.
