Republicans don’t just lead in covid deaths

    in General Discussion

They lead in just about all deaths according to a recent study (that ended before covid). Republican states and counties declined things like the ACA, put less money into preventative healthcare, etc. Right now republicans just die faster enriching the country in democrats (and raising the collective IQ).

“The takeaway is that we’re seeing social shifts that mean that the Democratic party is increasingly pulling in healthier people and the Republican party is pulling in sicker people,” Muennig said.

In many Republican led states, they have refused to expand Medicaid, even when the taxpayers approved it-Maine was one of those states until we got rid of LePlague and got in Democrat Janet Mills-who not only approved it but did so on the very first day of her administration.

She had run on the platform of expanding it (LePlague refused to do so even when there was a citizen's referendum approving it) and she made good on it.

That's why Maine has survived the pandemic in better shape than many states. We still have a lot of overweight people with diabetes, but at least now they can get health care to take care of them!

Below is the link to an article about this problem-there are 12 states left that have outright refused to expand Medicaid and you can understand how: they're all run by Republicans.

    1. Alabama

    2. Florida

    3. Georgia

    4. Kansas

    5. Mississippi

    6. North Carolina

    7. South Carolina

    8. South Dakota

    9. Tennessee

    10. Texas

    11. Wisconsin (has expanded to 100 percent of FPL)

    12. Wyoming

Obesity is another thing that's probably killing a disproportionate amount of Trumpy assholes. I know obesity is a complex topic with many factors contributing, but there is a variety of fatness that stems from pure obstinance and toddler-like thinking. Entitled right wing white people believe they should be able to do anything they want, and eating a giant platter of fried meat and potatoes with a gallon of gravy every day because it tastes good to them is all part of their freedumbz. They ain't gonna eat that lib rabbit food or tofu! They're "Murikins! Give 'em a bucket of KFC and a supersized meal from Mickey D's and they're good to go. ... at least for lunch.
