Gorsuch and his Catholic pals have ruled in favor of a Washington public high school football coach who was suspended for praying on the 50-yard line at the end of every game (Kennedy v. Bremerton School District, No. 21-418, Jun. 27, 2022). Gorsuch disingenuously asserts that the students weren't encouraged or expected to participate. Yeah, right. Imagine: you are a high school football player, the game has just ended, and your coach goes to the middle of the field to pray. Will you join him with your teammates, or will you hang back like some sicko commie atheist? This decision comes days after another case in which the Church decided government must give money to private religious schools.
