Gregory Yetman is now one of 15 January 6 insurrectionists who have fled the country or are presently at large and presumed to be in the USA.
The comments from MAGA minions on these videos are ridiculous. They still think these guys were peacefully protesting FFS...
1) Gregory Yetman, New Jersey, Army Veteran, a sergeant in the New Jersey National Guard until March 2022. Saw FBI coming and fled… FBI's wanted list for the insurrection, and he was labeled as suspect #278 AFO. AFO stands for “Assault on a Federal Officer.”
Using pepper/hornet/bear spray is considered using a weapon against officers.
2) “Yetman, who was a military police sergeant in the New Jersey National Guard at the time of the riot, told USA TODAY earlier this year that he had been present at the Capitol that day, but said he did not commit a crime. He said he had been interviewed by the FBI shortly after the insurrection. “Everything’s been resolved, everything’s good,” he said in early 2023.” https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/investigations/2023/11/08/fbi-new-jersey-search-capitol-riot-suspect/71504984007/
3) FBI agents in camouflage, police and members of the Joint Terrorism Task Force with search dogs were stationed in front of Yetman's home in hus small town of 3200. The are continuing to search NJ woods for him…
4) His past service … https://www.linkedin.com/in/gregory-yetman-99ba0911
He seems to have been an Army National guardsman who was also doing some clandestine work for Homeland securty and the army...which can be true according to this post: https://nationalguard.com/guard-faqs
It seems he took a couple of oaths to protect the country from terrorist/Insurrectionists such as himself. And fleeing from law enforcement as well as the Homeland Security, which he supposedly also worked for, makes this richly ironic... And he trained other soldiers as well? UGH! https://www.linkedin.com/in/gregory-yetman-99ba0911
Until he is arrested, that is all we know thus far. When the DOJ adds more, so will I...
UPDATE 2
It seems that Yetman was identified to the FBI from the beginning by the army and then a little later by the Sedition Hunters as well.
And yet, he was able to serve in the National Guard for more than a year afterward. WTF all round... https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/investigations/2023/11/13/gregory-yetman-capitol-riot-charges/71570125007/
Yetman had his first court hearing yesterday. Charged with felony offenses of assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers and obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder; misdemeanor offenses of entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds, and an act of physical violence in the Capitol grounds or buildings. https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/pr/new-jersey-man-arrested-felony-assault-charges-actions-during-jan-6-capitol-breach
He did not make any statement to the press but says he spent 14 hours hiding in the water... and used his past survival training to avoid escape. That stunt likely cost him bail...
An arsenal of weapons was found in the home he shares with 2 brothers, and in his car and a storage facility.
UPDATE 1
I suppose a little sense finally kicked in for this army vet, national guardsman and supposed military policeman... because after the FBI set up a command post on the small town's community centre, offered a reward, and said they were not leaving until he was arrested... Yetman turned himself in. What an absolute numbnuts... https://www.mycentraljersey.com/story/news/crime/2023/11/09/nj-manhunt-gregory-yetman-jan-6-fbi/71514910007/
There is no DOJ arrest news yet... but thus far he is charged with fourth-degree possession of large-capacity ammunition. More on that law here: https://casetext.com/statute/new-jersey-statutes/title-2c-the-new-jersey-code-of-criminal-justice/chapter-2c39/section-2c39-3-prohibited-weapons-and-devices
