UPDATED:
There is a NEW NYT COVID tracker that better encapsulates COVID as it wanes.
Track Covid-19 in the U.S. as of April 3, 2023 https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2023/us/covid-cases.html
Although the most cases are confined to hot spots around the USA, COVID (and Omicron XXB sub-variants) is still very much alive and kicking in central and eastern regions. I added the percentage of vaccinated to the NYT map from last week. On the site, it is interactive so that you can click on any county and see how you are doing, or see how your family and friends are doing. If I were American, I would check if the hot-spots are Republican. (I am not, however I bet at least 3/4 are GQP!) https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/us/covid-cases.html
USA COVID cases hospitalized, deaths - all times
Map of USA COVID deaths
About this data: The map shows the known locations of cumulative
coronavirus deaths by share of the population in each county.
Sadly, the NM cases look high in reservation areas. They are super poor and many homes lack electricity and/or running water. Once again the US says fuck you to its most vulnerable. We're a disgrace.
