Help. I am a vaxxed/boosted grandparent, with unvaxxed toddler grandchild. Parents separated with staunch, stubborn, stupid antivaxxer mom and smart, vaxxed dad. I want my grandchild to be vaxxed at 3 years old, but in our state--the mom's the boss no matter what. Luckily toddler has been healthy so far and not regularly attending preschool, but unvaxxed mom takes her everywhere by public transportation I'm so worried for the child. Any ideas anyone?

You can't control the parents, but it may help you to know that, according to the CDC, only 130 children under the age of 4 have died from Covid in the United States. That's less than 3 children per state in the span of 2 years, so it's about 1.5 children per state, per year.

I know death isn't the only negative outcome.

Thanks. That data helps a little. But it still means no water parks, no crowded playgrounds, no preschool, Disney, big birthday parties, etc. for that child. Vaxxing reduces isolation and increases fun for young children and grandparents!

@Life is Good. No way would I remember going to Disneyland before 5 years old! I know it sucks, but little kids find joy in the smallest of things. There will be time to make bigger memories in the near future.
