According to this obituary, Chris has passed away from COVID after fighting for his life for a few weeks. This one is sad, as Chris seems like a good guy who had a lot of recent tragedy as one of his two daughters was murdered in Florida in 2019, but he was looking forward to his retirement from the Department of Transportation. Unfortunately, he thought the government was overstepping his boundaries asking people to mask-up and vax-up to fight the COVID virus.

It's really too bad he died from Covid and not in a tragic motorcycle accident. Helmetless riders make perfect organ donors. At least his death could have had some meaning.
Still don't see why the government would be overstepping its boundaries by asking people to protect themselves and others.
The guy made an extremely bad call for sure, but some of the comments are pretty callous about a guy who suffered this kind of tragedy.

Even odds between dying of covid and dying of head trauma from riding without a helmet. Looks like covid hit first. At least we didn't have to scrape red and grey matter from the road this way.
