Chris Leben is a former UFC star and was a contestant on the reality show "The Ultimate Fighter". Before contracting Covid, he had recently opened up a combat sports gym on Pacific Beach in San Diego.
In mid-January, Chris contracted Covid for a second time. He had pretty mild symptoms and thought he was over with it. A week later, on February 1, 2022, he was hospitalized and developed serious lung issues and pneumonia.
This was his first public announcement about being hospitalized.
He goes dark for a few days on Facebook and then shares these posts. He "didn't tap"!
On February 20th, while still hospitalized, Chris shared this video. He states how lucky he is in life and how he survived this. He's not out of the woods yet.
Then, on March 5th, he was finally out of the hospital and shared this video. "1% better every day".
On March 6th, he shared his story about what happened to him medically and the personal journey he went through. He does advise that he was unvaccinated.
We hope you get better Chris! Please advocate for your followers to get vaccinated.

I am late to this one, so I’m sure this has been said in some form, but JFC! I should have known that HCAman (nicely done btw) wouldn’t leave out a tale of redemption. I watched all the way to the end of that last video and when he said, “If I could leave you with one piece of advice”, I thought yes! “Everybody please get vaccinated”. FML, I fall for it every time. Shouldn’t common decency be stronger than ignorance? How can these people stand the thought of another human being going through what he just did? Does he want his 4-year-old to go through that!! No part of me can fathom not advocating for the vaccine after that…
