We were asked to bring off topic discussions to the forum. That's NOT censorship. You can discuss what you'd like, just somewhere else on the website. For the most part, I just scroll through the off topic stuff anyway. When I want the news, I get it from a trusted news source, not social media. I love this site, I love the people, but it will never be a place where I gather news. I come here to pick on and talk about stoopid anti-vaxxers. Usually to get away from the news because gawd knows there's nothing good going on. As far as the use of the "C" word, that's not censorship either. I understood it as VaxxyLady requesting we not use it on her posts. It's a reasonable request. You can search your vocabulary to find another suitable word. Use it anywhere else you wish on the site.

Trump won the election, huh? The big lie carries on. Even my father gave up on the big lie, plus he's vaccinated. At 91 he wouldn't have survived Covid, nor would he have been able to get the two operations he's had recently. My father is a huge republican and while he talked a little crazy at the start of the big lie, he came around to see it for what it was. A big lie! In the end, nobody here cares if you got the vaccine or not, or why you didn't want it. There's a ton of you anti-vaxxers out there. You're not special enough to listen to or care about.

I'd been thinking about buying one and I'm glad I passed on it. My father has one and he loves it, although it's different from the picture shown. His is a glorified toaster oven, a small one, that can convection bake. I already have an oven that can do that, I don't need another. I purchased a new garbage can instead. A REALLY nice one - stainless steel. Bonus: the dog can't get into this one when we're not looking.
