An interesting news item that at first legitimizes our Meme'ers, then it sort of doesn't. Anyway, everyone generally finds a meme now and then humorous and thought-provoking. The conclusions were wishy-washy to an extent. Quotes from the article: The experimental group viewed a series of eight vaccination-related internet memes that had been collected by researchers using Google Image Search, and the control group viewed control images. While the memes varied slightly depending on the study, the majority of them expressed sarcasm toward anti-vaxxers. After viewing the images, participants were asked whether they intended to get vaccinated against COVID-19. A combined analysis of all six studies revealed that exposure to the vaccine memes increase participants’ intentions to get vaccinated, even after accounting for gender, age, and political orientation. Interestingly, although the effect was robust, it appeared to weaken once the vaccine was nearing release. When you buy a cable package aren't you purchasing a subscription? Some cable companies offer ala carte cherry picking of channels but I don't know what those stats are who intentionally purchase fox. "Fox News is the most-watched cable news channel in the US, and is a huge opponent." (From the article) How ever fox is accessed, people chose to watch it. The article suggests big name sponsors lend credence to the channel regardless of the content. This leads to the purpose of check my ads strategy which will have some effect on sponsors once it affects their bottom line.

Thanks for the heads up on this site/effort! I signed up at their site. I didn't know fox was the number 1 news outlet. Shocking. According to the article, only 5% of fox revenues come from advertising and the rest from cable subscriptions. Regardless eliminating 5% of their revenues adds up. Any legal method possible to get rid of this propaganda machine is worthy IMO. Check my ads has had success in it's efforts. These bastards only care about and respond to that which impacts their revenues/money. Now I have a way to say FUK YOU to fox that has some impact.
