I'm sorry for all the crap you went through and your loss(es), both by covid and by politics. Did the vaccinated family member have pre-existing health issues? I'm not trying to be insensitive at all, I just haven't heard about a lot of these.

This almost sounds idyllic. I was too stressed to enjoy family time, I think, but good for you. The kids will remember it. My son is a bit older so he'll remember me yelling from the kitchen window to go out back, change his clothes and sanitize before he came in. He worked a student job and upon my begging, he quit. I still thank him. My girls will remember having all family occasions over Zoom. One thrived, one did not and it still sucks.

Maybe the working remotely is part of why I seem to be blank. I had to quarantine until the results (and even after, as it turned out). Everyone was sent home on the 20th of March, which began the insanity of trying to get everything set up at home. I work for the provincial government and they were soooo far behind on any kind of technology, it's insane. We had no WiFi until three years ago and used carbon paper until 2016. Seems insane, right? Idiots...seriously. They got a much deserved smack in the head when they had to modernize. Anyway, my coworker was not comfortable with technology so it was a mad scramble for the first few months and I was beyond stressed about everything. Maybe my brain has just shut it out. AMA about carbon paper lol.

This is Titan. His bite is worse than his bark🤓 I just wanted to add that Titan here was a rescue from a puppy mill. Friends of ours were referred to this place for a new puppy (I don't know how). When they arrived, they were shocked and disgusted with the place. She sent me a video before she called the HS and Little Big Man here was the runt in a whole hoard of puppies. I watched a big dog and three puppies basically attacking him when he tried to eat. I told her to grab him for me and she did. The HS was then called and the place was shut down. I would have taken them all if I could have. When we got him home, he was aggressive (of course) and liked to bite our faces, hence my description above. Lots and lots of love has helped him along. We had a Shih-Poo named Boo that we lost last year and I'm still devastated. Best dog, EVER. She mothered him and helped him so, so much. Titan has every single ailment that shih-tzus get. Every one. He's had two surgeries on his bladder and it was horrible for him. Anyway, of late, he's been having issues with his eyes. He woke up this morning and they were covered in gunk. I took him in and the vet is running tests and advises he could go blind. This poor little guy has had his share of shit, plus some. I'm just sad right now and wanted to get it out. I hope he doesn't lose his eyesight. Thanks for reading.
