A. The court cases - Who is pursuing justice I put this part together based on my own research. I did it to satisfy my curiosity about what‘s being done to right the wrongs. Decided to share it in advance of the televised “January 6“ hearings starting tomorrow. Feel free to make comments, corrections, etc: There are eight parties (or categories of parties) seeking justice related to 2020 election interference who have criminal or civil court cases going on now and possibly in the future against Trump and others who tried to advance his agenda: Georgia - the State of Georgia and/or Fulton County GA could bring a criminal case (or cases) in the future against Trump and others US Rep Eric Swalwell - he has a civil case currently in progress against Trump and others NAACP - it has a civil case currently in progress against Trump and others District of Columbia: it has criminal cases currently in progress (against Oath keepers, Proud Boys, etc) related to January 6 that are not against Trump or any high-ranking Trump affiliates*; those could come in the future DC cops and Capitol Hill cops - they have civil cases currently in progress against Trump and others United States Department of Justice - it has criminal cases currently in progress against groups and individuals (such as those who stormed the Capitol on Jan 6) but not against Trump or any high-ranking Trump affiliates*; those could come in the future Election equipment vendors and election-tech cybersecurity activists - Dominion and Smartmatic have around a dozen civil cases for defamation currently in progress. None against Trump but they have sued some of Trump’s lawyers like Guliani and Sidney Powell as well as former Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne, Fox News, Mike Lindell and others. Voter lawsuits against fake electors - Private Wisconsin citizens who voted in 2020 recently filed a civil suit against fake electors who were part of a scheme apparently hatched by the White House. This is the first suit (and the only suit I know of) filed in connection with the fake electors scheme.—————————————— At this time (6/8/22), there are no criminal cases pending against Trump or any high-level Trump affiliates in connection with 2020 election interference.* Swalwell, Wisconsin voters, NAACP and DC/Capitol hill cops all have court cases currently in progress against Trump or people acting in Trump’s behalf in connection with 2020 election interference but they are civil cases, not criminal. However, these civil cases could have significance in a criminal case because they could force Trump or top affiliates to provide incriminating evidence which could be used in a criminal case. The DC atty general and DOJ have criminal cases currently being prosecuted in court but not against Trump or any high-ranking Trump affiliates.* Georgia, District of Columbia and/or the US Department of Justice could criminally prosecute Trump and others in the future. They are conducting investigations as is the US House of Representatives. Note: Election-related time constraints could tie the hands of the DOJ, causing Merrick Garland to decline criminal prosecution of Trump and high-level Trump affiliates. There seems to be no similar time constraints on DC and Georgia. Additionally, Georgia might have the best chance of getting criminal convictions against Trump and high-level Trump affiliates based on the facts and applicable laws there. * Except tangentially, like for failing to comply with subpoena, etc —————————————————— B. I think this article was published December 30, 2021. Idk if it’s been updated. Several things have come out since then (just two days ago, the Robert Sinner email was disclosed by investigators - it provides new information about fake GA electors meeting in secrecy) and no doubt more will come out in the future: https://www.ajc.com/politics/election/georgia-2020-election-timeline/ ——————————————-— D.
