@Le Petomane I'm not sure why the 5-day course of treatment was chosen. I think back to ages ago when I had a dental infection. They would give me a short course of antibiotics, book an appointment a few days afterwards, discover I still had an infection and repeat. I know they try to limit antibiotics for just these reason but 2 short courses followed by a long one might have been part of the issue. I have since found that I react better to sulfa-based antibiotics.

@Long Haul Fucker yep, a little further north. I used to live in Burlington, now I'm in a snow belt about 2 hours away. It is lovely though but I've been thinking about going east for a number of years.

@GettingMoreJadedByTheDay thanks, what I need to get back to is lifting. I've got a bar, weights, squat rack, adjustable bench and adjustable dumbells. I'm just finding the motivation lacking. It's actually snowing a bit at the moment, where it was serious patio weather on Sunday. Looks like by Friday we may have a string of spring weather. Definitely need to do some outside work and think about opening the pool.

I lurked for a while but decided eventually to post. Chose the name as, well, I couldn't help myself. I still lurk more than I post. I'm Canadian, mid 50s and semi-retired. Looking to sell up property in the late summer/ early fall and head to the Canadian east coast. Fully vaxxed and boosted and will take all boosters available. I have comorbidities: previous lung scarring, kidney removed years ago, obese. Other than that I'm actually kind of healthy: good sugar levels, good blood pressure, good cholesterol. Lighter than I have been in over 35 years, and lighter than since covid started, eat clean, moderate exercise. However I struggle with depression and medication for that usually has the side effect of weight gain. So, I have good days and bad days. I'm hoping that spring will help this year as I'm better than I was last year. TMI?

@Long Haul Fucker yes, we can be mean to other SAV folks. It would be nice to say we're perfect, but we are not.
