I'm a Registered Nurse and Midwife from Scotland. I'm retired now, and I am thankful for it. I don't think I'd be able to cope with the crazies who are assailing our hospitals with their foolishness since this pandemic started.

My politics are very left-leaning. I have a large family, and we have all been vaccinated. If I had a relative who refused to be vaccinated I would disown them.

After reading some of the stories on this site I was a little bit startled by the comments. However, as the days have gone on, and the patients and their relatives prove, endlessly, that they really, really don't understand the nature of Covid 19, and the validity and essentialness of the vaccines, I am getting very angry, and I am starting to write unsympathetic comments myself.

I absolutely blame Donald Trump for the deaths of almost all of the victims. If he had taken control, if he had been truthful with the American public, if he had recommended masks, practiced social distancing, NOT BEEN FUCKING PRESIDENT, then maybe America would have had a chance. As it was, he only half-heartedly recommended the vaccine, after initially decrying it. By the time it was clear that only the vaccine would save people, it was too late. His dumbfuck supporters had latched on to his previous recommendation not to be vaccinated.
