I think we're all going to have to accept good things come to an end. Not that a virus that has killed millions and has killed so well because of insidious propaganda is good, but the schadenfreude aspect was. But most of the AVers have wised up and clean up their Facebooks before dying so finding them is no longer easy. They'll die just the same. And we'll all know that 45 year old in the obits who posted Tucker Carlson crap likely died of covid. They're not really fooling anyone.

We all got in January soon after my six year old went to school for the spring semester. I kept him out during the fall because he wasn't vaccinated. Thankfully, nothing major for any of us. I can't tell that I have any lingering symptoms. The most symptomatic of us was the kid, otherwise, I don't think either of us would have assumed we had it. The husband and I had the benefit of being boosted while the kid didn't get his booster until today. All three of us could have easily gone out and done things but we're not psychopaths so we didn't leave the house until we tested negative. The schools were closed over covid numbers exactly when the kid came down with it.

I think I have one cousin who isn't vaccinated and it's just sad. She won't get vaccinated because her boyfriend she's been with for well over a decade and has a child with who refuses to get married until they can afford a wedding (I'm sure. . .) won't allow her to. She has no self-esteem and won't go get it anyway. I hope she'll be okay. She's never shared any anti-vax crap or anything, just let's her partner dictate her actions.

No. The dealership contacted me back and there is a short supply of all hybrid plug ins. He got back to me a week or two ago and said they were working on getting a shipment. Not sure how long that will take. Kind of sounded like they were literally being built. I have currently been looking at the Prius Prime. That's more the size I'm used to driving. If it wasn't for the fact all-electric would need more set-up at home and the fact we might want to occasionally take a longer trip with it, I could probably get by with all electric most of the time. Mostly, I stay within a mile or two of my house.

One of the places that has a plug-in station has solar panels so I'm not sure if any of the electricity in the charging stations is from solar or not. The one I actually plan on getting is supposedly the "greenest" car https://greenercars.org/2022-toyota-prius-prime-49921 but I have no idea how accurate this is. That didn't really impact my decision. Not all dealerships around here sell electric cars and can't do maintenance on them but Toyota can. I already drive a Corolla so there's also the comfort of driving Toyotas. I'd really just like to live in a place with a good public transit system but that's hard to come by.

But totally fuck Teslas. Elon refuses to release any details on about the environmental impacts of manufacturing Teslas. I'm planning to get a hybrid plug-in. We live around a few charging stations and it's also easy to plug in at home. Dealer said they plan on getting a shipment in a few weeks, stock is very low evidently.

Sometimes I think it might be for the best Wix kind of sucks and getting to your comment takes a lot of effort if you don't bookmark it. A few folks here can be real time wasters if you let them.

I love mine, but fryer isn't exactly the right term for them. They are the toaster oven version of a convection oven. I don't have a convection oven and it's only me, my husband and my son. Sometimes I want to make food for my husband and I that the kid doesn't like, so I can throw something in there for him without having to turn on my whole oven, preheat it, and it takes twice as long. Or everyone else is out and it's just me, I can throw stuff in there. Also helps me cut down on oil. For example, I'll throw my tofu in there for a dish so I don't have to fry it in extra oil. Or I par-cook potatoes in there so I can finish them off in just a little oil in a pan so I get the taste of something pan-fried with substantially less calories. If I try to pan fry potatoes from raw in a pan, I end up having to use a ton of oil or they stick and it takes sooo long.
