In regards to states righters: fuck them. You know, the ones who think basic human rights should be left to the state to decide? Who cares if some women in some states die from incomplete miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies, or can't afford to take days off work to travel a 1000 miles to seek reproductive care and then might come back to their state and be arrested and charged with murder? It's okay, it's not illegal everywhere! I was also just thinking if we did really have a civil war and what that would look like! It surely wouldn't be anything like the 1860s. I think it'd be a bunch of Buck McGans, the ones who aren't dead that is, trying to defend their states, actually I should say their white Christian nationalist beliefs, not states. If we did have to secede, I don't think it'd be by state. Too many people in all states who would want different Americas. I think it'd be based on ideology. I don't know, maybe we could give these assholes some unfarmable, landlocked chunk of land and let them do what they want. For our own sake, we can't give them too much land. We'll all have polluted water and their carbon emissions would offset anything we could do in regards to green energy and so forth. Maybe Elon could take them to Mars with him?

I just noticed scrolling through that one guy, Tom Urey (whose wife also died of covid) was wearing a hat that said BULKLOADS. How'd I miss that? Probably not worth a forum topic but my inner-12 year old is giggling.

Looking to replace my 2005 Corolla with some sort of hybrid. Looked into a Subaru Crosstrek but I'd have to buy it out of state and have it serviced out of state so that's definitely not happening. My husband is thinking maybe we should look into something that handles snow and ice well hence why I checked out the Subaru. Looks like Toyota has a hybrid plug-in in the RAV4 so that's one I'm considering. Looks small enough for me to be comfortable driving. I am not interested in anything very big. Any ideas, experiences, etc. with hybrids?
